About the Institute on Biotechnology and the Human Future

The Institute on Biotechnology and the Human Future Cameron is a reearch body dedicated to exploring the potential problems thrown up by advances in biotechnology. Specifically, the institute looks at how recent biotechnological advances such as gene editing, germline intervention, and biotechnology resources Andrews human-enhancing technologies will affect society.

For exmaple, the institute recently explored how the advent of implants to augment vision and cognitive function might influence society, and how those societal effects might impact human progression from a socio-economic point of view.

The Human Future, the IBHF's official website, is edited by N. Cameron and L. Andrews; two highly-experienced biohacking topics bio-hackers and acclaimed research fellows.
